When does gogeta appear

Comparatively, Gogeta is a man of few words in Fusion Reborn , destroying Janemba in a little over a minute. Similarly, Gogeta doesn't spend much time mincing words fighting Broly though the latter confrontation, though it does take considerably longer than his showdown with Janemba.

Just as with Vegito's canonical battle against Zamasu in the later anime series, the Gogeta fusion expires early, due to the immense power consumption brought about by both Goku and Vegeta transformed as Super Saiyan 4. This prompts Goku and the Z Fighters to scramble with a new strategy to defeat GT 's final antagonist. In terms of combat strength, Vegito and Gogeta are closely comparable.

In Dragon Ball Z , neither fighter is seen powering up stronger than the standard Super Saiyan, as additional transformations are unnecessary against their respective opponents. With Super Saiyan 4 being an exclusive transformation to the no longer canonical Dragon Ball GT , fans will likely never see Vegito transform into a Super Saiyan 4 in an official capacity but, given the fact that both Goku and Vegeta are capable of the transformation, Vegito would theoretically be able to accomplish the form.

Both Vegito and Gogeta are seen powering up to Super Saiyan Blue in their respective appearances in Dragon Ball Super , with Gogeta depicted as being so powerful that his fight against Broly shatters through the fabric of space itself. Combining the personalities and signature special moves of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta and Vegito bring the two Dragon Ball main characters together in different ways.

For most of his existence, Gogeta was regarded as a non-canonical addition to the franchise -- as with the vast majority of the Dragon Ball Z feature films -- with Vegito as the only canonical fusion of the two characters for decades.

Gogeta turns this concept on its head. Gogeta is able to gain a dragon ball every time he uses his Plus Energy Of Justice attack. This attack gains the Dragon Balls in the specific order they defeated the shadow dragons in GT, which is a nice Easter Egg. The biggest thing Gogeta showcased in his 13 minutes of screen time was his tendency to taunt and gloat in front of his enemy.

The other versions of Gogeta did this as well since they're aware of how powerful they are. In Dragon Ball Fighterz , Gogeta can taunt his opponent during the fight to power up his super moves. The power-ups become more and more substantial until he reaches level 7, which makes his level 3 super a one-hit kill attack. It's possible this could change the meta of the game forever, but it's also possible that it's more of a gimmick than anything. Only time will tell. Gogeta's most iconic moment against Shenron is when he forces the shadow dragon into a checkmate position using his overwhelming speed and threatens to blast him away with a super powerful kamehameha.

Shenron cowers in fear until he realizes that Gogeta just pranks him with a party popper and laughs in his face. This moment is hilarious and fun but it raises some questions.

Where did Gogeta get the party popper? The surrounding city is literally burned to ashes, so he must've traveled miles away in seconds while nobody noticed him get it. Either that or his ki control is so perfect Gogeta has the best ki control of any form that he can make matter from just his ki. Either theory is pretty outlandish and it was probably just a gag the writers didn't think much about but it could be a bit more than that.

The developers of Dragon Ball FighterZ showed their love for the franchise by including a dramatic finish between the two Gogeta forms , illustrating the question fans have been speculating about: which Gogeta is stronger? The dramatic finish can end both ways, having either form of Gogeta win, implying they're on equal footing.

What's really interesting about the dramatic finish is the purple, reality-shattering effect that appears when the two beams of Gogeta clash. This effect has appeared before in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly Movie when Gogeta and Broly fight, entering what appears to be another dimension formed from their destructive power.

During the battle, Goku prompts Vegeta to fuse but Zamasu disrupts the two, until Super Saiyan Blue Vegito arrives, saving the three and prompting the chance for the two to fuse. After the defeat of Kid Buu and Broly, Goku and Vegeta fuse and become Gogeta to fight Gotenks at the World Martial Arts Tournament , and easily beats them and complains their attitude is becoming similar to that of Mr.

If Gogeta wins their battle, Vegito declares his power is unbelievable and that he won't lose the rematch. Gogeta reminds him that they can't have their rematch immediately, knowing his fusion time is nearly up. Vegito jokes that because of his infinite fusion time at the time Potara Fusion had not been given its one-hour time limit for mortals , he wins by default, with Gogeta replying that's not fair. If Vegito wins their battle, Gogeta wonders aloud how Vegito would explain himself to Chi-Chi and Bulma afterwards, leaving his Potara counterpart flabbergasted.

Gogeta chuckles that they could be one big, happy family, but Vegito isn't so sure about that. Gogeta only appears in a What-If scenario as, during the Buu Saga, the player is able to choose if Goku and Vegeta are going to fuse through the Potara earrings or the Fusion Dance in order to defeat Super Buu after he absorbs Gohan.

While inside Super Buu, Goku suggests to Vegeta that they fuse again through the use of the Fusion Dance, suggesting that the fusion's power would be capable of defeating Super Buu without absorptions. Old Kai was skeptical at the idea of a Fusion Dance between Goku and Vegeta being able to defeat Kid Buu, while he believed Vegito would be sufficient.

According to Gogeta, he is capable of defeating Omega Shenron with a single finger if he wanted to. His ki control is so accurate, that he could change the nature of Omega's Negative Karma Ball into positive energy. As Gogeta took no damage from Omega Shenron's attacks, he was at least twice as strong as him. Despite his obvious superiority over Omega Shenron, Gogeta's power ends up being his own downfall as the fused Saiyan's massive strength wears down the technique's time limit. In Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn , as Veku he is able to survive a fight against Super Janemba for thirty minutes, even outrunning him at some points - though he is unable to deal any damage at all to the demon.

Gogeta is formed by Goku and Vegeta because of a desperate need to get rid of the pure evil Super Janemba. Gogeta easily defeats Janemba using his Stardust Breaker move. As Super Gogeta took no damage from Super Janemba's attacks, he was at least twice as strong as him. Though, it is unclear if he was referring to doing Potara Fusion or doing the Fusion Dance. In his own Super Saiyan state, Gogeta easily matches Broly blow for blow before soon overpowering him with his superior fighting prowess, maintaining the upper hand and landing powerful blows that visibly rattled and injured Broly while only being hit once.

In fact, his Stardust Fall was strong enough to cause Broly agonizing pain, forcing him to activate an Energy Shield to repel it. The clash of their energy beams is so immensely powerful that the two Saiyans are able to break through space and time, sending them to a different dimension entirely. Even when Broly transformed into the Legendary Super Saiyan , Gogeta rapidly turned the tables with Super Saiyan Blue and proved to be able to decisively overpower the titanic foe, who was utterly unable to hit him.

Gogeta's speed was such that Broly could not react to his attacks and after their initial exchange Broly was already exhausted while Gogeta had not lost stamina. Even after the berserker withstood Gogeta's incredible assault , Gogeta continued to pummel him with never-ending attacks, constantly breaking through Broly's defenses until he nearly killed Broly with his Ultimate Kamehameha, even shocking the berserker back into partial sanity in the process.

His power was enough to earn the praise of Whis, deeming his attacks as "truly magnificent". After the major ordeal, Gogeta foils Golden Frieza's attempt to kill Cheelai and Lemo, with the space tyrant opting to retreat, knowing full well of the fused Saiyan's might.

In the manga version while Android 17 and Piccolo are not present against the final battle against Ultimate Godslayer Hearts, Hearts proved to dominate Goku, Vegeta, Hit and Jiren in his Ultimate Godslayer form, proving every single one of their attacks ineffective by repelling them and forcing a massive force of gravity on the 4 as to make them not be able to stand up to defend themselves as he fires a God Meteor on them forcing Goku and Vegeta to rely on the Fusion Dance to battle against Ultimate Godslayer Hearts.

To give Goku and Vegeta enough time to move to perform the Fusion Dance within the time he can manage, Jiren powers up into his Super Full Power form and stands up, using his ki to repel the gravity that is restraining them while Hit uses his Time-Skip to sneak up behind Heart to put him in a Time Prison to distract and stall Heart for a brief moment, prompting Goku and Vegeta, already at Super Saiyan Blue, to successfully fuse into Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta.

In the midst of Gogeta's transformation into Super Saiyan Blue while in his base form in the anime, Gogeta's energy was intense enough to cause the gathered Z Fighters to stumble back.

In the anime upon his confrontation and engagement against Hearts in battle, the fused warrior proved to be more than a match for the foe, able to calmly dodge and repel everything Hearts launched at the fused warrior while simultaneously landing blows that visibly injured Hearts.

Remaining completely unfazed by the power Hearts was using to summon his God Meteor, Gogeta was able to hold back the attack using a tremendous Big Bang Attack, forcing Hearts to power up to maximum. Though he seemed to only be able to match Hearts fully-powered God Meteor with his Ultimate Kamehameha, his attack was primarily what destroyed albeit with assistance from Hit and Jiren it, and powering up to the max, he was able to swiftly defeat Hearts afterwards, overpowering Hearts' punch with his own in a trade-off and subsequently defeating him and shattering the Universe Seed with a second blow.

Enraged, Hearts decides to power up into the the full extent of his power that he obtained through the Universe Seed and fire cube projectiles at Gogeta only for Gogeta to effortlessly be able to dodge most of the cubes from hitting him until one of the cubes expands and was able to catch him off guard trapping him inside of a gravity prison and prompting the other cubic projectiles to hit him, causing an explosion.

However, Gogeta comes out still unfazed and not physically injured from the explosion and proceeds to fire an Ultimate Kamehameha at Hearts, simultaneously engulfing Hearts with the God Meteor that Hearts fired toward Earth. In the manga version, Gogeta did not need assistance from Hit and Jiren and his Ultimate Kamehameha was strong enough to destroy the God Meteor by itself and kill Hearts at the same time.

During the aftermath, Jiren goes on to ask Gogeta on why his fusees never fused into him during the Tournament of Power, implying that Gogeta would have been a massive threat to its contestants, including Jiren himself.

Later against the Crimson-Masked Saiyan , after the foe channeled enough energy from the Pseudo Universe to obtain his final form , Goku and Vegeta accepted that their combined efforts wouldn't be enough to face the foe. When Crimson's advanced healing proved a problem, Gogeta used Super Saiyan Blue Evolved, able to inflict damage too fast and intense for Crimson to keep up with before finally being killed by the fused warrior.

Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, in turn, expresses confidence he might be able to win the fight. Gohan describes Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta's form as unlike Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Instinct, and in the english version of the game adds that it is above anything else he had seen power-wise.

A issue of Weekly Shonen Jump comparing Gogeta to Vegito stated that Fusion Dance is able to draw out more power compared to Potara, and as such Gogeta was stronger than his counterpart Vegito and would defeat Vegito in a fight that took less than thirty minutes, but Vegito would win in a longer battle.

The resulting warrior from Potara fusion is more powerful than the equivalent Fusion Dance result, [4] thus Gogeta is weaker than his counterpart Vegito. Gogeta and Vegito are equally-matched ultimate trump cards. Gogeta is also stated by the second Dragon Ball GT: Perfect File volume, to be able to defeat Omega Shenron with one finger, as he claimed himself in the anime. It also says that Gogeta is "the mightiest warrior in all dimensions. Though the biggest claim is that his power is limitless.

This is likely because in the first volume, Super Saiyan 4 is described as a form pushing the user to their uppermost limits, and Gogeta is a fusion of two Super Saiyan 4's, and therefore goes beyond the limits of either Saiyan individually.

Super Saiyan 4 Goku himself states he has no limits, although there is no evidence to support this claim. Main article: Failed Fusions. He is one of several failed fusions present in the series. Vegeta fails to extend his index finger, resulting in an embarrassingly weak fusion which forms a fat fighter called "Veku" by South Kai ; a name that comes from Ve geta and Go ku. In this form, his speed is decreased and ki is extremely limited.

Because of his state, Veku does not perform any ki attacks due to the large drop in power. Also, due to his fat body, he does not retaliate by punching and kicking. Instead, all he does against Super Janemba is pass gas and escape using what he calls his Rabbit Feet Technique. Just like a regular fusion, the time duration is 30 minutes before the two fighters defuse.

This type of failed fusion is also seen with Goten and Trunks during the Majin Buu Saga , forming Fat Gotenks when attempting to fuse for the first time. Concept arts for a skinny Veku [14] are shown in Daizenshuu 6 , in the Fusion Reborn area, but the character was not included in the final version of the movie.

Veku makes two short appearances in Dragon Ball Super: Broly when Goku and Vegeta fail to perform the Fusion Dance properly the first time due to Goku's finger slipping below Vegeta's and the second time due to Goku being tilted at a degree angle while Vegeta is tilted at a degree angle.

Main article: Super Saiyan. In Fusion Reborn , immediately after the successful fusion of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta is at Super Saiyan as both halves Goku and Vegeta had previously mastered the transformation. Even though Janemba easily took care of Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta, he was unable to even hurt Gogeta at all, with a full-force punch from Janemba to Gogeta's face not doing anything.

In a matter of seconds, Gogeta was able to destroy Janemba without any problem whatsoever, even while at this stage, he is still many times stronger than Goku as a Super Saiyan 3 and Vegeta as Super Saiyan 2. In Broly , Gogeta utilizes this form to battle Super Saiyan Broly on equal grounds before being overwhelmed by Broly's recent increase to his Full Power form.

He is proven to be even stronger than both Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms in this state. Main article: Super Saiyan Blue. Gogeta, with both of his fusion components able to use the said form, he himself is able to use Super Saiyan Blue. In Broly , Gogeta appears identical to Super Saiyan, only with dark-hued cyanish-blue hair and eyes with a vibrant, fiery, electric blue aura shaded by some purple. In the Heroes anime and trailers, Gogeta appears with the hair and irises are cyanish in color albeit the irises change to a slightly darker color than the hair , vibrant blue aura with golden outlines overlapping the aura.

His power is great enough that to be able to completely overwhelm Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and even compete against Ultimate Godslayer Hearts. Main article: Perfected Super Saiyan Blue. In the manga, during a flashback during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Gogeta appears identical as a normal Super Saiyan Blue, only that it loses the vibrant blue aura that the form usually has. Gogeta's strongest form in recent Dragon Ball media, Gogeta took on this transformation to battle the Crimson-Masked Saiyan in the final battle inside the Pseudo Universe and battle Fu alongside his Xeno counterpart.

In the game, Gogeta appears like Vegeta in the anime as he gains with darker blue hair, increased muscle with visible veins when powering-up, visible dark pupils and a large blue aura.

In the anime, his overall appearance gives off slight differences compared to the standard variation in which the hair taking on a shiny-tinted Blue hair with his eyes becoming akin to Ultra Instinct, At the same time, it also forms with an unique emission of silvery-golden smoke.

When using techniques like the Dragon Dash , Gogeta attains a fierce surging silvery-golden colored aura with blue sparkles. In this form, Gogeta proved too much against the Crimson-Masked Saiyan, completely outmatching him in strength and speed, with even his rapid regeneration ability failing to keep up with Gogeta's attacks.

Main article: Super Saiyan 4. With the Fusion Dance, they successfully created the strongest warrior. Unlike Vegeta and Goku's Super Saiyan 4 forms, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta has brown fur and fiery crimson hair, instead of the opposite, unique blue eyes and a enormous-sized fiery gold aura that shoot up through the sky along with unique emission of golden sparkles surrounding Gogeta.

Unlike his previous appearance in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn , Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is somewhat playful and cocky almost akin to Vegito's attitude , toying with Omega Shenron instead of easily defeating him.

His speed in this form is so great that Omega Shenron cannot even see him move. Main article: Super Saiyan 2. In this form his hair gets a little bigger and sharper, this is more notable in the in-game.

His muscles also become more defined and his aura also generates electricity surrounding his body, while the aura grows markedly larger and more vibrant. Due to both of his fusees possessing the form, Gogeta could have turned Super Saiyan 2 during his brief animated appearances, but he chooses does not do so. Main article: Super Saiyan 3. In this form, his hair reaches down to his thighs along with keeping his bang, and his eyebrows vanish completely while making the forehead and eye ridges larger and more prominent.

His muscle mass grows noticeable larger more defined while his eyes gain green irises. Due to one of his fusees possessing the form, Gogeta could have turned Super Saiyan 3 during his brief animated appearances, but he chooses does not do so. Main article: Golden Great Ape. In this form Gogeta keeps his bang and even being large, the Metamoran clothes stretch like the Saiyans' armors, thus being able to retain them too.

Like Vegeta, Gogeta is apparently able to retain his completely mental clarity and by extension control of himself. He uses the Ultra Soul Punisher as a technique, which is the same as Stardust Breaker, only stronger. Gogeta first appears in Ultimate Battle 22 , where he is erroneously referred to as Vegito and given the Final Kamehameha , despite only being formed by the Fusion Dance and not the Potara. He later makes his proper debut in Buu's Fury. Both versions of Gogeta boast a Dramatic Finish against each other, clashing Ultimate Kamehamehas and briefly shattering reality before one Gogeta defuses into his shocked fusees, while the other stands victorious.
